My client a leading mining products manufacturer is seeking to appoint and career minded Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation and manufacturing within there Newcastle facility. The person we are seeking will be required to have an understanding of manufacturing within a structured medium sized organisation, based around a jobbing shop environment and preferably have tertiary qualification with a mechanical background. The facility is working under a lean manufacturing process so an understanding of five ��S�� or Six Sigma would be an advantage.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for a total of five reports with a dotted line to approximately 75 staff, managing the weekly / monthly budgeting and reports. As the Operations Manager you will need to maintain a visual presence between manufacturing, sales, procurement and administration, maintaining communication between all departments, so strong verbal and written communication skills are required. The candidates we are seeking to interview will need an understanding of financial budgeting and planning, OH&S, QA experience at an ISO 9000 level with an understanding of DIFOT and have developed and implemented process improvements.
